TEMARI art screening today for October fair

Hobbyists and artists who believe they're ready for a bigger stage can now get feedback. TEMARI is looking for crafters who are invited to bring five to seven priced samples of work for consideration for the organization's 26th Trash & Treasure Fundraiser Fair.

The screening will take place 9 to 11 a.m. today at TEMARI, 1754 Lusitana St. The group is looking for high-quality, one-of-a-kind or limited production in ceramics, wood and paper.

The fair will take place Oct. 26 at the Japanese Cultural Center of Hawaii, Manoa Grand Ballroom, fifth floor.

TEMARI, a nonprofit organization, is celebrating 29 years of perpetuating Asian and Pacific cultural traditions and nurturing contemporary art forms.
