Man, 24, charged in road-rage attack
A 24-year-old man was arrested and charged yesterday after he allegedly shattered another driver's car window during an apparent road rage incident at Wilikina Drive and Kunia Road.
Police said Kalani Garcia and a 55-year-old man got into an argument after a traffic mishap.
Garcia accused the older man of rear-ending his vehicle, police said.
The older man denied the incident and drove off, so Garcia drove after him, police said. Garcia got out of his vehicle at a stoplight and allegedly shattered the driver's side window of the other vehicle at 12:07 a.m. yesterday. The older man sustained a small cut from the shattered glass, police said, but there were no other injuries.
A nearby police officer arrested Garcia for suspicion of first-degree criminal property damage.
Garcia, who has no local address, was charged with fourth-degree criminal property damage and harassment. His bail was set at $400.
