Rolles, Kimi Matar, Kitty Lagareta, Joey Harris, Madison Shimada (front) and Carolyn Berry at the 2008 Hawaii Tiffany Circle Society of Women Leaders Luncheon, a benefit for the Hawaii Red Cross, Sunday at the Halekulani. Luncheon entertainment included informal modeling of fashions by New York designer Angel Sanchez and jewelry by Tiffany & Co., and the music of the Honolulu Symphony String Quartet.

Pink champagne was the drink of choice as Christie Weaver-Scoville, left, Mirella Monoscalco, Ashley Flores, Katheryn Nicholson, Bonita Wilke and Susan Lee chatted before lunch. Although an informal fashion show was held during lunch, the luncheon guests themselves represented a colorful assortment of fashionable ideas in upscale spring attire.

Al and Sharlyn Masini attended the luncheon as guests of Diamond Table sponsor Lawrence Tseu. If there had been a prize for the most fashionably dressed couple at the spring-themed event, the Masinis would have gone home winners.

Bidding was so spirited on several items in the silent auction that Bobbi Pang, left, Kalene Sakamoto, Marsha Yonemori, Judy Buntin, Heidi Mukai and Karen Robertshaw, all members of Silver Table sponsor Beta Beta Gamma sorority, went outside to check their bids shortly before the auction closed. Buntin was the winning bidder on gourmet cooking lessons. Practical items like Ala Moana gift cards and restaurant gift certificates went for close to their retail value, but with the bid price benefiting the Red Cross.

Elsie Wright, left, joined her longtime friend and "daughter," Nanna Bradford, center, and Cathy Foy in inspecting silent-auction items before lunch. Wright, who is visiting from San Francisco, surprised Foy when she confirmed that Bradford was not joking about her age -- she's 93 but looks 20 years younger.
