Ikebana by 92-year-old master Lorraine Tanimura of the Ohara School of Ikebana was on display Saturday at the "Splendors of Ikebana 2008" exhibit at Honolulu Hale. The arrangement featured orchids, godetia, Peruvian lilies, cabbage and a bromeliad in a reed vase made by one of Tanimura's students. "Ikebana shows what's inside of you," explained Tanimura.

Audrey Yagihara of the Sogetsu School worked on her driftwood, red ginger and climbing bamboo arrangement. Yagihara traveled from Kilauea, Kauai, to participate in the show featuring the work of more than 50 artists as well as group installations by seven ikebana schools. The exhibit is free with viewing hours from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. through Friday.
