Star-Bulletin staff
Visitors to London will be able to taste a little of Hawaii now that the historic five-star Claridge's of London hotel has added MaHaLo Hawaii Deep Sea Water to its new water menu, featuring 30 of the world's finest waters.
MaHaLo Hawaii Deep Sea Water, harvested from 3,000 feet off the Kona Coast, will be offered to Claridge's discriminating clientele, comprising British royals and European nobility, as well as international businessmen and women, celebrities and the fashionable set. It keeps company with, among others, French and Italian spring waters fresh from the Alps and Tuscan villages; glacier water from Norwegian fjords and Canadian icebergs; Japanese artesian water; rainwater from Tasmania; and spring water from Patagonia.
MaHaLo Hawaii Deep Sea Water possesses a high mineral content and is being recommended by Claridge's to sip with spicy food or shellfish. It will sell for 20 pounds, or about $40, per bottle.
Locally, sample it at the MaHaLo showroom at Waikiki Shopping Plaza, 2250 Kalakaua Ave., which is open from 9:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. daily. Call 922-3883 or visit www.HawaiiDeepSeaWater.com.
