Nordstrom officially opened its new Ala Moana Center store to a huge crowd of shoppers at 9:30 a.m. yesterday after a blessing by Kahu Kordell Kekoa. Hundreds of customers flowed into the store, filling the three-level, 210,000-square-foot space. Nordstrom staff lined up along the aisles of the store's first floor and applauded the first customers through the door, which has been a company tradition for the past 20 years.
