Silverswords hold off Seasiders
Senior center Marko Kolaric scored 18 points -- 13 in the first half -- and added 10 rebounds as Chaminade held off a late rally by Brigham Young-Hawaii to prevail in last night's Pacific West Conference men's basketball game, 76-70 at McCabe Gym.
Senior guard Hayden Heiber added 18 points, eight assists and four steals for the Silverswords (16-5, 11-1).
Senior guard Paul Peterson led the Seasiders (11-6, 6-4) with 21 points. Sophomore forward Lucas Alves added 13.

WAIKOLOA, Hawaii » Led by a 6-under 64 from Stephan Gross, Arizona State moved into a first-place tie with Texas Tech heading into today's second round of the University of Hawaii-Hilo Invitational at the Waikoloa Village Golf Course.
The Sun Devils and Red Raiders were at 271 in the 18-team tournament. The host Vulcans were 10th (282) and Hawaii last (292).
Chaminade, BYUH in regional poll
The men's basketball teams from Chaminade and Brigham Young-Hawaii are in the NCAA Division II West Region Top 10 released yesterday.
The Silverswords are No. 3 and the Seasiders No. 10.

Agnes Tuilevuka scored 21 points and grabbed 11 rebounds to lead Brigham Young-Hawaii to a 69-53 victory over Chaminade in a women's basketball game last night at McCabe Gym.
BYUH women's soccer signs 6
The Brigham Young-Hawaii women's soccer team signed six high school players from the mainland yesterday.
They are: midfielder Natalie Cude (Alta, Utah); forward Britt Edman (Highland, Utah); midfielder Ashley Kamoe (Orem, Utah); utility Lauran McCullough (Kamiakin, Wash.); forward Tara McPartland (Hillcrest, Utah); and goalie Scottie Prince (Davis, Utah).
