Ritz-Carlton reopens after major renovations
The Ritz-Carlton, Kapalua, has reopened following a $160 million transformation. Its 463 guest rooms and suites now feature dark wood floors, all new furnishings, travertine bathrooms, area rug designs with Kukui florals, and Hawaiian print artwork framed with koa wood.
The guest rooms also offer the latest technology, including LCD flat-screen televisions, iPod Docking Stations, DVD players and wireless Internet access.
The property also features several newly designed restaurants. The Banyan Tree, the hotel's signature restaurant, has a new outdoor bar and ocean-view lounge. The Terrace restaurant has an expanded lanai, while the Alaloa Lounge has a lava stone wall and illuminated onyx bar.
A new Fitness Center is available 24 hours daily, while the Ritz-Carlton Spa is slated to open in May.
