NA LEO'S "CHRISTMAS GIFT" A HIT: Nalani Choy, left, Willie K, Lehua Heine, Keali'i Reichel and Angela Morales went out to meet the crowd after "Na Leo's Holiday Music Spectacular" played to a capacity crowd Thursday in the Hilton Hawaiian Village Coral Ballroom. Nalani, Lehua and Angela did something different this year, having their guests join them in mix-and-match segments as well as performing in separate mini-sets. Willie joined the trio for a four-way rendition of "Baby, It's Cold Outside," and Morales danced with the Diamond Head Theatre Shooting Stars.

ANOTHER GREAT "CAZIMERO CHRISTMAS": Roland Cazimero enjoyed a quiet moment with his wife, Lauwa'e Cazimero, after the Brothers Cazimero's 2007 Christmas show opened Friday for three shows at the Hawaii Theatre. Robert and Roland presided over a beautiful seasonal celebration that included comic hulas by Leina'ala Kalama Heine and a (non-comic) showcase number by Miss Keiki Hula 2007 Marissa Medrano.

"CHRISTMAS MEMORIES" WITH THE SONS: Leilani Rivera Bond greeted the Makaha Sons -- John Koko, left, Louis "Moon" Kauakahi and Jerome Koko -- before they performed as headliners in their Christmas show Dec. 15 at the Sheraton Waikiki. The Sons capped a beautiful show by welcoming Melveen Leed as their final guest for several numbers, then called back two of their opening acts, Bond and Hoku Zuttermeister, to help close the show with "Silent Night."

CELEBRATING WITH HAPA: Miss Aloha Hula 2002 Malia Peterson joined HAPA -- Nathan Aweau, left, and Barry Flanagan -- on Friday for a concert at the Kahala Hotel and Resort. The duo shared an assortment of HAPA numbers, some recent and some older, and also gave Aweau a solo on seven-string electric bass, before closing with "White Christmas."

A "MERRY MELVEEN CHRISTMAS": Melveen Leed, second from left, was dressed for the season in a red sequined top and silver lame tights at her Na Mele No Na Pua Christmas show Saturday at the Embassy Suites Grand Lanai. Leed entertained the SRO crowd for more than 90 minutes. Kimo Kahoano, left, Leed's daughter Kaula Naluai and Brickwood Galuteria were among the guests she called up to join her.
