Heavy rain the day of the Honolulu Marathon made for muddy conditions at Kapiolani Park. This inclement weather also created massive problems with a relatively new electronic timing system, leaving hundreds -- perhaps thousands -- of runners without proof that they completed the grueling 26.2 miles.
