The award-winning director of "Elephant Man," "Blue Velvet," "Twin Peaks" and "Mulholland Drive" will visit the University of Hawaii. Well, not physically, but the legendary David Lynch is scheduled to participate in a live iChat videoconference as part of a seminar on "Creativity, Filmmaking, and Meditation," which is open to the public. Lynch, who also wrote "Catching the Big Fish: Meditation, Consciousness, and Creativity," will answer questions following his presentation.

The event takes place 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the University of Hawaii Campus Center, Room 307/308. There is no admission fee but parking on campus costs $3 (plan for the usual challenges). Call 947-2266 or visit www.davidlynchfoundation.org for more information.
