The Department of Transportation is reminding travelers that the airports are busier during the holidays beginning with the Thanksgiving weekend.
Although additional parking has been provided at some airports, the department is encouraging travelers to get dropped off and/or picked up, or use taxis, airport shuttles or other transportation.
Travelers are urged to add 30 to 45 minutes to the recommended two-hour preflight arrival time.
