Turtle Bay offers Vans surfing rate

Don't get caught in North Shore gridlock. To help ease traffic congestion during the Vans Triple Crown of Surfing, Turtle Bay Resort will be offering special room rates from tomorrow through Dec. 20.

Mention "Vans Triple Crown of Surfing" when booking and receive a starting rate of $219 per night, double occupancy, plus tax and resort fee. Rates are based on availability and subject to change without notice.

The Vans Triple Crown of Surfing is celebrating its 25th anniversary this winter, featuring the world's best male and female pro surfers and big-wave riders.

The 880-acre Turtle Bay Resort is operated by Benchmark Hospitality International and is a Preferred Hotels & Resorts Worldwide property.

It's ladies' time at Kapalua links

Kapalua Golf invites women to spend the next two Saturday afternoons competing for prizes on the greens.

The Ladies Social Golf League will meet at 3:30 p.m. Nov. 17 and 24 at the Bay Course. The nine-hole format will begin with a Shotgun Start for women golfers of all ages and all levels of play.

Meet fellow golfers and compete for weekly prizes from Kapalua Resort, including specialty logo items and passes to the Mercedes-Benz Championship, taking place Dec. 31 through Jan. 6. A charge of $35 per session covers greens fees and use of a cart. Rental clubs are available. Groups are limited to 20 players and require pre-registration.
