Chamber group marks 25th year
A Pegge Hopper painting created to mark Chamber Music Hawaii's 25th anniversary will be up for bid at a celebration Sunday at Cassis by Chef Mavro.

The festivities will include a silent auction benefiting the CMH Endowment Fund. Along with the Hopper painting, the bidding will include two subscriptions to the 2008 Hawaii Opera Theatre season. Door prizes are also planned.
A four-course menu will be served, accompanied by the music of Holst, Debussy, Joplin and Mozart, performed by Chamber Music Hawaii ensembles.
The nonprofit group features three ensembles -- the Galliard String Quartet, Honolulu Brass Quintet and Spring Wind Quintet, all made up of Honolulu Symphony musicians. They have appeared throughout Hawaii, the mainland, Europe and Asia.
