Sally Parker celebrates 60th with 150 in Monarch Room

Sally Parker celebrated her 60th birthday last Thursday in her own special style. When husband Don asked what she wanted, she opted for a cocktail party, fashion show and luncheon in the Royal Hawaiian's Monarch Room with family and dear girlfriends. Some of her friends in the crowd of 150 had been in first grade with her in Ponca City, Okla. Sally's parents, Polly and Wallace Edwards, flew in to attend. Models included Sally's daughters Beth Bowlen Harbottle, Meghan Goldman Buck, Natalie Parker and Taber Parker Reiner, and granddaughters Lillie Klemmer and Sylvia Buck. Even sons-in-law Dr. Howie Klemmer, Ikaika Harbottle and David Buck were incorporated into the scenes. Other models included Katie Nichols, Yana and Azzura Alliata, Judi Harrison, Julie and Lanette Sandvold, Sherry Gilliland, Lynda Pelayo, Hana and Halie Harrison, Maile Heyer and Mele Blaich. Emcee Susan Page, a former Miss Texas, wore the gown she wore in the Miss America Pageant back in the 1970s. She still has that fabulous figure.
