Ozu & Fong
The Balcony Gallery treats visitors to the works of established artists Ka-Ning Fong and Koi Ozu this summer. The show, which combines scenic oils by Fong with small metal sculptures by Ozu, runs through Aug. 31.
Fong, best known for his paintings of familiar isle landmarks, also contributes works of picturesque sites in England and France. Many of Ozu's pieces look like parts of a mechanical machine waiting to be assembled, while others reference plant life, utilizing pipes and metal tubing.
The show is an interesting contrast of works from two legendary artists.
The Balcony Gallery, 442-A Uluniu St., is open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesdays to Saturdays and by appointment.
Call 263-4434 or visit thebalconygallery.com.

Koi Ozu created dozens of small-scale metal sculptures for the Balcony Gallery exhibit. They sit in seeming disarray on cubicles all around the gallery.
