» Reid Santos (Castle, Saddleback) pitched no-hit ball for 5 2/3 innings on June 22 before Bowie's Paco Figueroa singled to left field. The left-hander gave way to the bullpen to start the seventh, but got the victory in Akron's 7-1 win. Santos followed up on June 27 with five innings of five-hit ball with 11 strikeouts to win his fifth game of the season.
» Steven Wright (Hawaii) was promoted on Monday by the Cleveland Indians from the Lake County (Ohio) Captains in the Low A South Atlantic League to the Kinston (N.C.) Indians in the High A Carolina League.
» Brian Finegan (Hawaii) has recovered from a broken bone in his left hand. The second baseman in the Cleveland Indians organization is playing in rehab games for the GCL Indians in the Gulf Coast League.
>> Brian Bock (Hawaii), a catcher who started the season with the Bowie, Md., in the Class AA Eastern League, has been transferred back to the Baysox after spending five weeks with the Frederick, Md., Keys in the Class A Carolina League.
» Patrick McGuigan (Mid-Pacific, Univ. of San Francisco), a right-hander, has been transferred by the Toronto Blue Jays from the Dunedin Blue Jays in the Class A Florida State League to the GCL Blue Jays in the rookie Gulf Coast League.
» Mark Rodrigues (Kauai, Los Medanos CC, Hawaii), a left-hander, has been assigned by the Cleveland Indians to the Mahoning Valley (Ohio) Scrappers in the short-season New York-Penn League.
» Ian Mopas (Iolani, Cuesta CC), a left-hander, has been assigned by the Minnesota Twins to the GCL Twins in the rookie Gulf Coast League. He has yet to pitch in a game.
» Jaziel Mendoza (Hawaii), an outfielder/first baseman for the Chillicothe (Ohio) Paints, broke his right wrist swinging the bat. He is probably done for the season, although Paints' officials hope he returns for the playoffs.
» Gavin Ng (Mililani, Univ. of San Diego), also is on the Chillicothe (Ohio) Paints disabled list with a pulled right hamstring. The Paints' leading base stealer is expected to return to action this week.
