Onolicious!
Folks who are too busy juggling work, laundry and the soccer carpool to indulge in fine dining can satisfy their culinary cravings this weekend at that premier food festival held annually on the grounds of Honolulu Hale. This year, the event has been renamed Flavors of Honolulu and now benefits Abilities Unlimited, an organization that assists individuals with disabilities. (In other words, Taste of Honolulu has become Flavors of Honolulu.)

The festival includes food booths from Honolulu restaurants, special one-day booths from "chefs of the day," celebrity cook-offs, wine tasting, a mini farmer's market, live entertainment, keiki rides and a craft fair from Pacific Handcrafters Guild. Another highlight is a two-day food booth by New Zealand chef Kieran Greg Hema of Wairakei Terrace. Hema will prepare the country's renowned mussels, New Zealand style.
Entertainers include Tia Carrere and Daniel Ho, the Makaha Sons, Kapena, Herb Ohta, Jordan Segundo and Go Jimmy Go. (See schedule)
Visitors can also vote in The Most Flavorful Awards with a ballot included on the admission ticket. Each ballot cast is an entry to win a weeklong trip for two to New Zealand.
