Choose your weapon: soft and sweet, or crunchy and sweet. Two designer snack foods under the Saturday Grandma's label let you select your texture, offering twists on Japanese treats.

Treat No. 1: Mochi, with extreme fillings such as lilikoi cheesecake, chocolate-haupia, dark chocolate truffle, sweet potato-haupia, and the always impressive whole strawberry. Prices vary from $4.75 for a couple of strawberry pieces to $20 for gift packs.

Treat No. 2: Okoshi, or rice cakes, in nifty flavors of furikake, sesame, macadamia nut, and a cool and refreshing Hawaiian ginger. Five-ounce bags sell for $4.75 or $5.75.

Find both at Made in Hawaii Foods in Aiea (484-0052) or at the Kapiolani Community College Saturday Farmers Market.
