Security was tight last Thursday as John Travolta, second from left, and Kelly Preston welcomed their guests, including champion surfer Kekoa Cazimero, left, and his father, events promoter and disco-era dance champion Turk Cazimero, to the Narconon Hawaii fundraiser at the Stage Restaurant. A sold-out crowd paid $2,500 each for cocktails and dinner to support the new Kalaeloa Narconon facility. Kekoa Cazimero contributed further by donating an autographed surfboard and related memorabilia to the silent auction. CLICK FOR LARGE

Lt. Gov. Duke Aiona and his wife, Vivian, left, chatted with Carolyn Berry and daughter Becky Berry in the cocktail area before dinner. Carolyn Berry fulfilled a longtime wish earlier this month when she made her theater debut with a five-night cameo as Madame Laverne in Diamond Head Theatre's "Gigi." CLICK FOR LARGE

MidWeek style editor Yu Shing Ting, left, caught up with Peter Skaaning, his wife, Bonea Skaaning, and singer Jordan Segundo. The official dress code was "upscale casual or cocktail," and everyone agreed that Segundo's informal ensemble -- collar open and shirttails out -- was a perfect choice. CLICK FOR LARGE

Filmmaker Edgy Lee, left, joined Barry and Leslie Flanagan at the Ice Bar. The Flanagans brought a 10-strand pikake lei as a gift for Kelly Preston, placing the order more than a week in advance to make sure they would have it for the party. CLICK FOR LARGE
