People learned to protect and preserve the ocean environment yesterday at the free concert and ocean awareness festival E Malama I Ke Kai at Kapiolani Park and Bandstand. The festival featured entertainment, original ocean exhibits and activities provided by nationally acclaimed ocean conservation organizations, as well as local experts and institutions. There also were inflatable funhouse attractions, keiki arts and crafts, rides and games. Jennifer Nones and her daughter Jasmin, 3, maneuvered their away around the Scooter bumper car ride at the EK Fernandez and Sons 50th State Fair being held at the Aloha Stadium.
