Le Jardin Academy students Holly Fischer, 12, and Rachel Larsen, 13, waded their way back to shore Saturday after releasing some moi. The student volunteers were part of the Coastal America program, which encourages kids to become stewards of the oceans and wetlands in collaboration with various state and federal agencies. Four students helped coordinate the volunteers for the release: Celeste Yee, Ilorra Fern, Sean Gershaneck and James Springer from Castle High School, Le Jardin Academy, Myron B. Thompson Academy and Kailua High School.
