A celebration service for Sharnell Onaga, who died April 3, will be held at 11:30 a.m. Sunday in the mauka chapel of Mililani Mortuary.

Visitation will be at 9:30 a.m. and burial at 12:45 p.m.

Onaga was 38. She was born Sept. 6, 1968, in Hilo .

She was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia last year while pregnant with her third child. Her baby was born in December and Onaga began undergoing chemotherapy treatments.

Friends for Sharnell Onaga, formed by family and friends, organized bone marrow drives in hopes of finding a lifesaving match for Onaga, but none was found.

She went to the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center in Seattle in February for a cord blood transplant, but an infection delayed the transplant and leukemia returned in full force. She returned to her Kapolei home to be with her family.

Survivors include her husband, Clifton; daughters, Kaila 13, Rachel 2 and Sarah, four months; mother, Marilyn Enos Moura; father, John Milare; brothers, Chadrick Milare and Christopher Moura; and sisters, Corri Jean Moura-Smith and Christal-lyn Moura-Melnyk.

Aloha attire. No flowers. Tax-deductible donations accepted for Onaga's daughters' education. Make payable to SI Honolulu-FFSO, and send to Friends for Sharnell Onaga, P.O. Box 700814, Kapolei, HI 96709.
