Valentines were taped to the bottom of each chair in the audience, with one extra winning valentine under one seat. When Stewart made the announcement, participants scrambled for their valentines, and Hope Kamenstein trotted down to Stewart's TV kitchen. An elated Kamenstein said that she and her husband had never been to Hawaii.
The Long Island couple won round-trip airfare to Honolulu aboard Continental Airlines, with accommodations at The Kahala Hotel & Resort. They also get tickets for each night of the Return to Romance Festival, beginning Friday. Celebrity performers and guests include Kenny Loggins, Amy Hanaialii Gilliom, Deborah Lippmann, Patti Austen, Brian Stokes Mitchell, Lucie Arnaz, Nick and Nina Clooney, Rocky Brown and Robert Cazimero.
Kamenstein and her husband also will fly to the Big Island for a spa treatment at the Mauna Lani Resort. On March 10, a reception will be held in their honor at the Harry Winston salon in Ala Moana Center.
"Where do you want to go on your honeymoon?" said Beth Ameen, a producer for "The Martha Stewart Show." "Where do you want to go on a romantic trip? A lot of people will say Hawaii. It's just top quality all the way."
