Holokai opens with benefit parties

Melveen Leed is among those performing Friday at a party marking the grand opening of the Holokai Grill at Waikiki Beach Walk. The event, from 5 to 8 p.m., will benefit the Waikiki Community Center. Also performing are the Ka'ala Boys and Pali. Call 923-1802. On Saturday the restaurant will host a similar benefit for the Aloha United Way. Call 543-2239.
