Climbing mountains, pursuing passions

Alison Levine will speak on the challenges she faced in overcoming a life-threatening heart condition to become a mountaineer as keynote speaker at HerStory 2007 -- "Overcoming Your Obstacles, Pursuing Your Passions."

HerStory, the Junior League of Honolulu's annual conference for women, takes place from 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday at the Hawaii Convention Center.

The event will include workshops on career, relationships, parenting and style, and a marketplace of vendors and services for women.
