Almost 100 exhibitors -- many of them manufacturers of goods and products from the Philippines -- were showing their wares at the Hawaii Convention Center yesterday in hopes of snagging local buyers. The Philippine International Trade Expo was the first of its kind to promote trade between Hawaii and the Philippines. Many of the exhibitors were in Hawaii for the first time. Exhibits included rubber slippers, quilts, rattan baby prams, dried mangoes, antiques, handcrafted antiques, bags and shoes.
