QB Club welcomes Lumpkin, Bolla, O'Brien

Guest speakers at today's Honolulu Quarterback Club meeting include University of Hawaii associate head coach George Lumpkin, UH women's basketball coach Jim Bolla, and Hawaii Pacific University women's basketball coach Liz O'Brien.

Festivities kick off at 11:30 a.m. at the Pagoda Hotel.

Desmond leads BeachBoys to win in HWB

Ian Desmond hit a two-run home run in the ninth inning to help Waikiki over West Oahu 3-1 at Hans L' Orange Park last night.

Joe Woerman earned the win for the BeachBoys with three scoreless innings in relief.

» Ryan Patterson banged out two hits and drove in a run as Honolulu beat the North Shore 3-2 at Les Murakami Stadium.
