Churches host show about Jesus’ life

A one-man show enacting the story of Jesus as told in the Gospel of John will be presented at three Hawaii churches.

Atlanta-based actor Brad Sherrill, who performed "The Gospel of John" in an off-Broadway theater for three years, will present the free show at 7:30 p.m. Friday at Our Lady of Peace Cathedral on Fort Street Mall.

Sherrill memorized the entire gospel for the dramatic enactment of the story of the teaching, ministry, death and resurrection of Jesus.

The show will be presented again at 7 p.m. Oct. 29 at First Presbyterian Church at 45-550 Kionaole Road, Kaneohe, and at St. Theresa Church in Kihei, Maui, at 7 p.m. Nov. 1.

There is no charge for the show, but a free-will offering will be accepted.
