McKibbin, Jenkins to represent U.S.
Riley McKibbin, an incoming senior at Punahou, and recent Kamehameha graduate Jacob Jenkins will represent the U.S. at next week's FIVB Youth (U-18) World Beach Volleyball Championship in Bermuda.
McKibbin and Jenkins qualified in July at the U.S. Championships at Dockweiler Beach, Calif. They leave Monday for the competition, which runs through Sept. 10.
Jenkins is currently a volleyball coach at La Pietra, and McKibbin is looking at playing for Penn State, Stanford or USC.
McKibbin's mother, Diana McInerny McKibbin, will chaperon her son and Jenkins. She was a member of Hawaii's first national championship volleyball team in 1979.
Mercedes-Benz golf tickets on sale today
Tickets for the 2007 Mercedes-Benz Championship will go on sale today.
The winners-only event is Jan. 1-7 at the Kapalua Plantation Course on Maui. Tiger Woods, Vijay Singh, Geoff Ogilvy, Jim Furyk, Dean Wilson and defending champion Stuart Appleby headline the participants.

Hawaii-Hilo beats St. Martin's for first victory
Taina Savage put down a season-high 23 kills and added 18 digs to lead Hawaii-Hilo past St. Martin's College 30-26, 30-16, 30-19 yesterday for its first women's volleyball win of the season.
Freshman setter Desiree Agader added a season-high 42 assists, and senior libero Kahea Silva had 28 digs. UHH is 1-7.
