He is survived by his parents Clifford C. and Georgann J., and brother Scott. A celebration of life and scattering of ashes will be held at 5:30 p.m. Thursday at Napili Bay. Judith Denise Gilmore-Abalo, 68, of Pearl City, a florist, automobile sales representative and an Army Navy civilian employee, died in Aiea. She was born in Chicago. She is survived by husband Carlos; sons Earl, Timothy and Terrence Gilmore; daughter Jaqueline Ryan; brother William O'Brian Jr.; sister Joyce Straley; 10 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. Services to be held at a later date in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla., and in Tucson, Ariz.

Kaya Hamada, 98, of Hilo, a homemaker, died in Hilo Medical Center. She was born in Naalehu. She was a member of Kyodan and Fujinkai of the Higashi Honwanji Mission, Garden Club and Bonsai Club. She is survived by son Edwin, daughters Kathleen Yanaga and June Cole, eight grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Memorial services: 3 p.m. Sunday at Borthwick Hawaii Funeral Home. She is survived by son Edward T.; daughters Adeline T. Brash, Mary T. Ng and Sally T. Ishikawa; 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.
