'Women's Closet 2'

THE PRICES WERE GREAT and the best bargains went fast when Liz Watanabe presented "Women's Closet 2," a fundraiser for the Domestic Violence Clearinghouse & Legal Hotline, at the O Lounge on July 30. Bargain-hungry shoppers arrived an hour early for the four-hour shop-fest and found discounts of up to 75 percent on fashions, jewelry and accessories. The O Lounge parking lot was taken over by park-it-yourselfers before the valets got there.

The capacity crowd checked out fall designs by Roberta Oaks, Hula-la, Ginger 13, MisFortune, KariJane Threads, J. Boudoir, and Global Vision and Second Skin. The $8 pre-sale ticket ($10 at the door) also entitled shoppers and their male friends to minimassages and manicures from Ho'onani Spa, and a wine bar hosted by Better Brands.

"Women's Closet 2" raised approximately $10,000 in cash, clothing and other items. "Women's Closet 3" will be held in October.
