Fendi opens boutique at the Kahala Hotel
Fendi opened its Kahala Hotel & Resort boutique Monday, offering 350 square feet of accessories with a focus on current collections, including handbags, sunglasses, small leather goods, scarves and monogram fur scarves.
In addition to new fall designs from the Selleria and Villa Borghese collection of horse medal embossed leather purses and totes, sales staff demonstrated the Bag du Jour, a large, convertible totebag that folds three ways to accommodate its users' lifestyle.
A velvet monogram version of the Bag du Jour starts as a tapered satchel. It unsnaps to form an expandable, relaxed, unstructured shopper style. Then, fold the corners over and buckle up for a pickpocket-deterring travel tote.
The velvet version is $910. A printed calf-hair version is $1,670.
For those who want still more, another full-scale Fendi boutique is slated to open at Royal Hawaiian Shopping Center at the end of the year.
