The 36th Annual Ukulele Festival was held yesterday at the Kapiolani Park Bandstand. A large crowd gathered to watch a variety of acts from as far away as Japan and Texas. Here, the children's group the Twinklers performed.

Festival organizer Roy Sakuma led the festival band. Sakuma has put on the free concert since 1970.
