The annual Hawaii State Farm Fair returned to Kapolei over the weekend, bringing the usual mix of rides, games, food, entertainment and farm animal displays. Kaneohe residents Ryan Dacosin, middle, laughed while holding his grandson Ryden, 1, as cousins Darrien, 9, left, and Raykelle, 7, zipped down the Super Slide.

17-month-old Sammy Faiola, visiting grandparents from Hong Kong, played with Squish the pig in the Meadow Gold Petting Zoo. The fair concludes this weekend; hours are 6 p.m. to midnight Friday and noon to midnight Saturday and Sunday. Admission is $3 until 6 p.m. and $5 from 6 p.m. to closing.
