The Hawaii State Farm Fair returns to its Kapolei site (corner of Farrington Highway and Fort Barrett Road) this week with the usual fare -- rides, games and food.

Wristband specials return this year on Kraft Night and Pepsi Day. To take advantage of the $13 all-you-can-ride bracelet, rideaholics need to bring a wrapper from Nabisco cookies or crackers, Cabri Sun juice drink, Kool-Aid beverage, Post cereal or Kraft Mac & Cheese to the fairgrounds on opening night.

Can't make it that day?

Pepsi Day offers the same deal on July 30, but instead of bringing a wrapper, bring an empty Pepsi can. The wristband is good for unlimited rides from noon to 6 p.m. and admission into the grounds.

Fifteen-dollar wristbands are also available, for information, log on to www.ekfernandez.com.

Highlights include pig races, Backyard Circus and Puppet parade and entertainment by Pohaku at 9 p.m. Thursday, Frank DeLima at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Pulse Dance Studio at 4 p.m. Sunday, Jomel Sumira at 5 p.m Sunday, Local Uprising at 2 p.m. July 29 and Dita Holifield & Red-Handed at 6 p.m. July 29. Times are subject to change.

The banner entertainer is hypnotist Scott Lewis, who appears next weekend, at 7:30 and 10 p.m. July 28, and 5, 7:30 and 10 p.m. July 29 and 5 and 7:30 p.m. July 30.

Carnival hours are 6 p.m. to midnight Thursday, Friday and July 28 and noon to midnight Saturdays and Sundays through July 30.

Admission is $3 to $5.
