Dick Jensen / 1942-2006
Entertainer Dick Jensen, who died June 21 after a battle with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, or Lou Gehrig's disease, will be remembered in memorial and celebration-of-life services from 1 to 5 p.m. Monday at the Elks Lodge Waikiki/Diamond Head.
Jensen, 64, known as "The Giant" and called "Slugger" by close friends, was born in Honolulu.
He is survived by wife Toni; sons Rick and Brandon; daughters Renee Jensen-Oliveira, Jennifer Garcia, and Summer and Nikki Jensen; father Edwin; brothers Champ, Flash, Hans and Rocky; sister Lei; and three grandchildren. Donations will be accepted.
