‘Thrashed’ at the Ocean Club

art

DESIGNER AT WORK: Custom T-shirt designer Chelsea Gines, left, examined an ordinary T-shirt before grabbing her scissors and turning it into a unique work of fashion art at the Ocean Club on Saturday. "Thrashed" was the theme of this month's Piranha Room party, and a wall-to-wall crowd filled the club to watch Gines in action as she "destroyed" T-shirts onstage. Several women in the crowd ordered T-shirts on the spot, and at least one smart guy bought one for his date. Gines' assistant, Tasha Eisen, modeled one of Gines' creations while holding another.

NO DANCE FLOOR NEEDED: The club was so crowded after the midnight fashion show that Tiana Quinn DeBell decided it would be easier to dance on a chair in the VIP area than try to get to the dance floor.

THE GINES LOOK: Makanani Rosa, right, modeled one of Chelsea Gines' designs as she and Jenn Abreu checked IDs at the door.

A BIG NIGHT: Deanne Fee, center, partied with Chris Walch, left, and Jo Dee Gines. It was Fee's first night out in many, many months (she gave birth six months ago).

A DIVA-TO-BE?: Juliet Lighter, left, and Brandy Leaver supported the "Thrashed" theme by wearing Chelsea Gines tops. Now that Leaver is back from the Cannes Film Festival, she's participating in the WWE Diva Search.

KISS HER GOODBYE: Crystal Pancipanci, left, and Wendi Miyake arrived just before things got crowded. Miyake leaves Hawaii for Los Angeles next month.

FOUR WOMEN IN BLACK: Natalie McKinney, left, Noelle Poole, Stephanie Sanchez and Alicia Ajolo were a striking foursome. McKinney, Poole and Sanchez, veteran actors, are leaving Hawaii for L.A. next month to check out opportunities there.
