Miss Hawaii to be named Friday night

Miss Hawaii 2005, Malika Dudley, shown at right, crowns her successor Friday night at the annual pageant at the Hilton Hawaiian Village.

Competing to represent Hawaii at the Miss America pageant will be Jill Lesley Pascua, Miss Maui; Nicole Cabral, Miss Kahala; Sky Leimana Ritte-Camara, Miss Molokai; Kauionalani Ramos, Miss West Oahu; Brandie Cazimero, Miss North Shore; Keaolani Mento, Miss Leeward; Rebecca Ynigues, Miss Kona Coffee; Sheri Canopin, Miss VIP; Ashley Layfield, Miss Island Oahu; Pilialoha Gaison, Miss Island Ilima; Natasha Akau, Miss East Oahu; Jasmine Ornellas, Miss Kauai; Ana Marie Tsukano, Miss Honolulu; Angela Everhart, Miss Garden Isle.

They will compete in swimsuit, talent, evening wear and personal interview categories, for $100,000 in scholarships and tuition grants.

The pageant will hosted by KHNL News 8 anchor Howard Dashefsky and broadcast live at 7:30 p.m. on KFVE. It will be rebroadcast 10:30 p.m. Saturday.
