Oceanic brings Vegas to Hawaii, with a new show with a local P.O.V. starting up today on OC16, and available on Video On Demand 777.

"Kimo's Vegas" is a 30-minute program devoted to the city that is Hawaii's favorite vacation destination and home to thousands of former island residents.

Kimo Akane will be the invisible sleuth looking for the "inside scoops" on Las Vegas, with Rachel Smith hosting the show about major and lesser-known activities and offerings, paired with profiles of Las Vegas residents with Hawaii connections.

The premiere episode includes an interview with Sarah Harding Traverso, a Punahou graduate who won the Miss Fitness USA competition twice. Traverso takes viewers on a backstage tour of the show in which she performs, called "KA!"

Viewers will also go into the only restaurant in North America that offers Hawaii grass-fed beef, the new Craftsteak at the MGM Grand Hotel.

"Kimo's Vegas" will air on OC16 as follows: 9 p.m. Mondays, 10:30 a.m. Tuesdays and Sundays, and 4 p.m. Saturdays.

The program and additional Las Vegas information will also available any time on demand at VOD 777. For more information, call 808-643-2337 or visit www.oceanic.com.
