COURTESY HILTON HAWAIIAN VILLAGE
Connie Stevens, who played Cricket Blake in the popular '60s detective show "Hawaiian Eye," enjoys a light moment with isle entertainer Doug Mossman during a rededication ceremony of the Shell Bar Thursday at the Hilton Hawaiian Village where the actress was also honored with a plaque. The watering hole was the backdrop for the series, which ran from 1959 to 1963. Stevens is current Screen Actors Guild secretary treasurer and co-stars in Fox's "The Wedding Album."

AN EVENING OF ADVENTUROUS JAZZ
COURTESY PHOTO
The Hawaii Chamber Orchestra Society and ABC Stores present Chuck James, left, drums; Les Peetz, piano; Scott Villiger, saxophones and flute; Ernie Provencher, bass; and Rachel Gonzales, vocals, at 7:30 p.m. tonight at the Honolulu Academy of Arts' Doris Duke Theatre. The show is free.
Though the core members of the group, Gonzales, Provencher and Peetz, have played music together for about eight years, Peetz refers to his jazz band as the "nameless ones. We take our music seriously, but we don't take ourselves too seriously."
