The 45-year-old English sailor, who had not set foot on land for six months until May 8, was forced to stop in Honolulu when he encountered problems with his boat. With 12,000 more miles to go, Flanagan hopes to fulfill his goal of becoming the first person to complete a solo expedition around the world through the Arctic Ocean.
