New weekly party kicks off at Cirque
THIS weekend marks the start of a new weekly party at
Cirque Hawaii, the former IMAX theater location in Waikiki.
Goldenchild Entertainment andDIG Lifestyles have teamed up to present "Wish," with tomorrow's debut also serving as an official pre-party for Saturday's "Soul Village" show at Pipeline Cafe withSlum Village andSouls of Mischief.
Doors open at 10 p.m. tomorrow, with the requisite DJs spinning tunes and go-go dancers dropping it like it's hot on stage. In true Cirque Hawaii fashion, acrobats will be incorporated into the party at various times during the night.
"Wish" will continue on Fridays through the summer, although last call is at 2 a.m. (and not 4 a.m. as I had been led to believe) ...
TOMORROW is going to be a good one for rock fans, with an interesting show early in the night atKewalo Studio followed by what should be a rager atAnna Bannanas.
All ages are welcome at Kewalo Studios, whereKid Brother will play alongsideAt Sea,The Insurgents,The Aces,Hometown Heroes andDear Savior. Doors open at 6 p.m. and cover is $5. Call 228-5214.
The Anna's show features headlinersIll Repute from California, but a number of local bands are also on the bill.8MM Overdose,White Rose,Pacifica,Laissez Faire andThe Substitoots will play, and this will be the last show forHaole Rot before some of the band's members move back to the mainland.
