» The woman pictured in a story on Gail and Satoru Abe on
Page F11 Sunday is Gail Abe. She was misidentified in the caption that appeared with the photo.
» The annual salary for the state Department of Education's new chief financial officer position will be $115,000. A Page A1 article in Tuesday's morning edition incorrectly reported the salary would be $150,000. Also, a $50 million appropriation for a new school construction fund mentioned in the article actually did not survive late-session negotiations between lawmakers.
» Wayne Hashiro is the city's acting managing director who has been nominated for the permanent position. A Page A3 article Friday incorrectly said the position was vacant, and did not mention that he is serving as the acting managing director currently.
» Ke'eaumoku Kapu was not a member of the Hokule'a crew that sailed to Pacific islands, although he has worked with the group. A Page A3 article Monday incorrectly identified him as a crew member.
[CLARIFICATION]
» A photo on Page A2 yesterday of the Student Transition Convention failed to mention the organizer. It was Adult Friends for Youth.
