Potent pair help No. 9 Kahuku fight off McKinley

Despite seven 3-pointers and a season-high 23 points from McKinley's Kaitlyn Ikehara, No. 9 Kahuku got a combined 44 points from Camilla Ah-Hoy and Artevia Wily to hold off the Tigers 63-52 last night in a shootout at Kahuku.

Ah-Hoy finished with a game-high 25 points, and Wily connected on three 3-pointers and added 19 for the Red Raiders, who won for the fourth time in their last five games.

Chelsie Sato poured in 21 points for the Tigers, who had won their previous two games.

Kapio Alatasi scored 18 points as the Governors defeated the Menehunes.

Despite being held scoreless in the first quarter, the Governors came back strong in the fourth quarter, outscoring Moanalua 18-8 to end the game.

Jamie Ronolo led Moanalua with 21 points.

Lyle Kitagawa had three hits, including a triple, and drove in three runs to lead the Knights past the Governors in a make-up game from Wednesday.

Corey Paredes and Dallas Olsen also tripled for the Knights, who improved to 5-1. Farrington fell to 0-6.
