Easter is the holiday of cuteness. Bunnies, chickies, duckies and lambies rules -- and, to a lesser degree, kitties, puppies and froggies. Unlike those other festive seasons ruled by the harsh tones of black and orange, red and green, or red, white and blue, Easter is a time of soft, pleasant pastels, well suited to the cutesy ideal.
In case you weren't watching the calendar, Sunday is Easter, and it's time to fill those baskets. We combed stores for the newest, cutest stuff out there. Our other prerequisite: Everything had to be cheap-cheep. Nothing here will cost you more than $6.

For those who find dying eggs to be too much of a messy chore, Paas offers Color Snaps, cotton swabs filled with quick-drying dye that you simply paint onto your eggs. This product proved so commonsense that it is pretty much sold out at Wal-Mart stores, but we include it here because if you should find one, you should snap it up. It sells for about $1.
