Bolton pulls out of show booked here
Michael Bolton's Blaisdell Arena concert, scheduled for Thursday, was canceled yesterday by promoter Tom Moffatt due to what Moffatt's representative called "routing issues."
Bolton is scheduled to appear today in a concert in Daegu, South Korea, but because of difficulties with his travel itinerary -- namely the inability to schedule a flight from Korea to Japan, then to Honolulu, in time -- Moffatt's office agreed with Bolton's management to cancel the show here.
Bolton's is the second big-name concert pulled from the April agenda. U2, which was to perform Saturday at Aloha Stadium, postponed its appearance until later in the year because of an illness in a band member's family.
Refunds for Bolton's concert will be offered beginning tomorrow at the ticket holder's point of purchase. For example, if your ticket was purchased at a Ticketmaster outlet, your refund will be issued by that same outlet. Call 591-2211.
