Williams wins no dough in Pillsbury Bake-Off
Isle entrant's picture with Pillsbury Doughboy is consolation prize
Enny Williams didn't win the Pillsbury Bake-Off's million-dollar prize, but she definitely enjoyed the all-star treatment at the competition in Orlando last week.
"We were treated first-class," she said. "They picked us up in a limousine. There was a different party every night. It was a lot of fun."
Williams was Hawaii's only finalist, one of 100 chosen among tens of thousands of applicants. She submitted only one recipe, Cereal-Almond Brittle. "One lady submitted 125 recipes. There were only six or seven of us who entered only one," she said.
Williams is now enjoying the beaches of Miami, recuperating from all the hubbub. She said she gave many interviews to television and newspaper reporters.
And because she was the entrant who traveled the farthest, her photograph was taken with the Pillsbury Doughboy.
