AN EXCELLENT "SHOP": "Little Shop of Horrors" cast members Nicholas Inferrera (Orin), left, Dean So'oalo (Mushnik), Cody Gomes (Seymour), Caitlyn Dunphy (Audrey), Ellorin Joy Davis (Chiffon), Robyn Wolfe (Ronnette) and Kana Ka'onohi (Crystal) savored the moment after receiving a standing ovation on opening night Friday at Mamiya Theater. The Saint Louis Players' high-school production of the ever-popular retro musical comedy compares favorably with the one seen last fall at the UH-Manoa Ernst Lab Theatre. Dunphy and Gomes are excellent in the lead roles of a sweet airhead and the nerd who loves her, Inferrera dies well in his big scene, and Davis, Wolfe and Ka'onohi are always in sync as the show's sassy "girl group." "Little Shop" continues at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Friday, Saturday and March 18, and 4 p.m. Sunday and March 19. Call 550-8457.

GOOD WINE, GOOD JAZZ: Elizabeth Watanabe, center, welcomed Mark Jacobs, left, and Jeebee Yim, second from left, to her wine-tasting party before Sherry Shaoling took the stage for "Jazz Night" Wednesday at the O Lounge. Ryan Sutherlan worked with Shaoling in last month's revival of "Femme Capulet."

"BEADS FOR EVERYBODY!": Irwin "Superman" Santos, left, didn't let a little rain dampen the party as he enjoyed a great Mardi Gras event with Franie Wright, Stephen Williamson and Kitty Greer Tuesday night at the Ocean Club.
