Missy, a missing Pomeranian, was reunited with her owner yesterday afternoon.

Sue Nakanishi said she received several calls yesterday morning in response to an article that ran in the Star-Bulletin. A man named Ron said he knew a man who worked in an Aiea tennis shop and recently received a Pomeranian, she said.

The tennis shop owner told Nakanishi that he had gotten the dog from his nephew, but did not know how his nephew got it.

"As soon as I saw her, I grabbed her and wouldn't let her go," Nakanishi said. "Now I can stop crying at night."

Nakanishi said she wouldn't give Missy back, even though the tennis shop owner wanted to keep her.

Missy is known as the "Queen of Kanunu," who always greets customers outside of Nakanishi's store at the intersection of Kaheka and Kanunu streets. Nakanishi said a man had taken Missy outside her store on Dec. 21.
